Called since new to town and new building built down the road from old location but unable to take new clients unless its a puppy. Probably not the only place but what happened to loving all animals not just seeing $$$$.

I've been to a fair amount of vets in my travels, but this one is tops. Not since Dr O'Connor in Granby years ago have I been to one this good. Its so hard to find a great vet who doesn't charge ridiculous prices, but here you have one. Its clear when you visit they really care about their animal friends and are devoted to their care. They're the best.

On February 2, 2026, we brought our cat, Michi, to this clinic because she had stopped eating and was becoming very picky with food. This was unusual behavior for her and we were concerned. During the appointment, Dr. Claire Schmidt performed blood work and prescribed several medications to stimulate Michi’s appetite, which we were instructed to purchase directly from the clinic. I also pointed out a noticeable bump on the right side of her abdomen. Although the doctor felt the area, we were told it was not concerning, and no ultrasound was ordered at that time despite our concerns. We purchased the prescribed medications at the clinic, which were more expensive than other pharmacies, which cannot be returned due to clinic policy. Unfortunately, despite administering some of the medications as directed, Michi continued not eating over the next two days. We contacted the clinic and asked if she could receive an injection instead of oral medication because she was refusing pills. My husband brought her back on February 5, 2026. At that visit, an ultrasound was finally performed, and we were told she needed an urgent oncology referral due to a suspected stomach tumor and a guarded to poor prognosis. When I followed up regarding the referral, I was told by reception that the doctor was off and that nothing could be done. Only after insisting and asking if we were expected to just watch our pet die was another doctor able to step in and send the referral to an emergency oncology service. By the time we were seen by oncology, Michi’s condition had deteriorated significantly. We were told she would need hospitalization and a feeding tube just to become stable enough for surgery, and her chances of survival were very low. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep on February 6, 2026. I believe that earlier diagnostic imaging and faster referral, rather than focusing first on appetite medications, might have given Michi a better chance while she was still strong enough for treatment. This experience was devastating, both emotionally and financially, and I hope the clinic improves its responsiveness and takes owner concerns more seriously in urgent situations. We will always be grateful they took her, but it had been helpfulful if the right care had been provided since the very beginning.
