Severely overmedicated. Took him 5 days to normalize. Had convulsions when he was trying to wake up. We don't permit her to see our pets

UPDATE: my boyfriend spoke with vca again and they were extremely apologetic for how my boyfriend was treated over the phone and for not notifying us of our vet leaving the practice. they explained that a very new staff member who had not yet received phone training was who answered the phone the first time and that the information she gave my boyfriend was not accurate at all. they also explained that the reason they hadn't notified us of our vets departure was because he had quit half way through his shift the same day my boyfriend called. my boyfriend and i are very relieved that this was just an unfortunate series of events and not our trusted vet office suddenly turning on us. we even received a card from them recently sending their condolences for our rats passing. we appreciate their honesty and compassion so much as we are still struggling with accepting the passing of our rat. i can't speak for my boyfriend, but my trust in this office has definitely been restored. thank you ♥️ ORIGINAL REVIEW: my boyfriend and i have been going to this vet office since we got our first rat just around a year ago. no complaints until yesterday when our 2 year old rat was rapidly declining and we knew it was time for him to go. my boyfriend called up to see what they recommended, only to be told that the small animal vet there had left the practice. they never emailed us, called us, literally zero notice of this until yesterday. additionally, they were very disrespectful and unprofessional when telling my boyfriend their inhumane method of euthanasia, clearly not trained to treat small animals. this is not at all how you treat a grieving pet owner. not only did we have to bring our rat to an office 2 and a half hours away, but we have to look for a new vet for our other rats. very disappointing considering how great they've been with us prior to this.

I am thrilled to have found this clinic for my beloved dogs. All the staff is wonderfull, kind, and the vets are very special! The clinic is spotless, they offer many alternative options as well. Dr June is a meticulous surgeon! She is calming and incredibly loving to the animals..the techs are as well!! Really all the staff is great, support, techs and vets. If you are fortunate enough to get an appointment with Dr Phillips you wont be disappointed!! She is loving, kind, thorough and very calming..Dr Scanlon is great as well, enthusiastic and kind. We have one very high maintenance dog and are in need of services often, I can say I love this place because of the staff/vets, and that is not something I say often!
