I have 3 cats in the care of Powder Mill and have been extremely satisfied. One cat needed teeth extraction and the fee was reasonable. My other two cats had tooth extractions at other vets and so I've experienced the range of fees that can be charged. My cats are all elderly, 2 with chronic illnesses. They need more frequent care and meds, again the fees are reasonable. I'm on a fixed income, as so many people are, so I wanted to comment on my experience with charges. Of course the most important thing is the wonderful care received from Dr. Keiser and Dr. Margolis and all the veterinary staff. They are personable, go above and beyond, listen to my concerns carefully and offer me all the options without pressure. I've been to many veterinarian offices over the years due to moving or just disatisfaction. I feel so grateful to have landed at Powder Mill for my kitties senior years (and mine!).

If you're looking for a vet that truly cares, this is it. Dr. Alexis Margolis and Dr. Yuan Kang have been amazing to our dog Moka as we navigate her Wobbler Syndrome. Since our first visit, they've made us feel completely confident and well-informed. The follow-up from the professional crew also shows how much they genuinely care about their patients. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!

From the moment I walked in, I noticed the difference—a clean, welcoming environment and a warm, caring staff. What truly stood out, though, was the veterinarians. They were among the kindest and most compassionate professionals I’ve encountered. Their focus on my older dog, who lived to 16, was exceptional. Over the final years of his life, they guided me through every stage of his care, helping extend both his quality of life and his time with us. Equally important, they were honest and supportive when it was time to say goodbye. That balance of compassion and honesty meant everything. I am deeply grateful for the care they provided. Great staff and great care. They were great with my dog and very patient and gentle. Be aware, they are incredibly expensive, and tend to upsell and tack on extra tests. I was quoted ~$500 for blood tests, and over $2000 for a dental cleaning in the office. They have gotten too expensive for me so I will be finding a new vet. I recommend looking into vets with a pet wellness plan. You can cover the entire year of a wellness plan for what I have paid here for annual vaccines. If you go here, get pricing up front, and have a ballpark of what a fair price is. Ask why extra tests are being ordered.
