Dr. LUCI MEHR is extremely irresponsible and the hospital suggested that I fly internationally without my pet and arrange cargo transport later — an unreasonable and deeply insensitive recommendation coming from an animal hospital. I went to VCA Brookline Animal Hospital for a health certificate required for my pet’s international travel. My flight is scheduled for tomorrow, and it’s already 4 PM the day before — but the USDA has still not endorsed my certificate. When I called the hospital earlier today, they told me “unfortunately the USDA hasn’t endorsed it yet” and said they would follow up. Two hours later, I checked again and was told they couldn’t reach the USDA and that I should just wait. Out of urgency, I called the USDA myself — twice — and both times, someone picked up immediately. The USDA officer told me clearly that it is the hospital’s responsibility to follow up, not the pet owner’s. When they contacted the hospital directly, they found out that Dr. LUCI MEHR had submitted the certificate with incorrect information, and the USDA had returned it for correction TWICE. I was never informed of this, and only after I pushed the hospital again did the corrected version finally get resubmitted. Meanwhile, I had called the hospital multiple times, and each time they insisted they couldn’t reach the USDA — which clearly wasn’t true. Now, with the USDA about to close and no endorsement issued, I will most likely miss my flight. This has caused me immense stress, and all the losses I may incur due to this delay should be the responsibility of the doctor and the hospital.

I brought my cat here because he hasn’t been doing well. Out come was putting him down. I had Dr.Groper. Once he was gone I was definitely rushed to leave ( the actions of trying to get me out) … you could obviously see I was broken .. couldn’t give me a couple minutes alone to grieve… the point of this comment is to bring awareness to be more understanding of situations like this.. he could’ve gave me a few minutes to cry after waiting an hour to be seen.
