Doctor Sherry did a great job and for a low coupon, she made me save my money and avoid the expense of Ashes and private cremation. I still trust her. She makes me happy. Also, my cat and she did a check-up on my cat for the rabies vaccine 💉. I picked one year, but she explained to me about 3 years being the best and safest for my cat’s health to avoid problems. I changed my mind to pick 3 years rabies vaccine 💉. No need for blood work. Sherry is such an excellent doctor and has great knowledge. Thank you very much. I apologize for posting a second review, but after thinking about everything that happened, I could not stay silent and let other people remain unaware of these experiences. Our animals are family, and people deserve to feel safe and confident with the care their pets receive. This review is incredibly difficult for me to write because for many years we truly considered Dr. Bernstein part of our extended family. We trusted him with animals we loved deeply, and that trust meant everything to us. Sadly, toward the end, our experiences became heartbreaking and deeply upsetting. During one visit, I was accused of being under the influence of drugs when I was actually struggling with bipolar disorder and anxiety. Instead of compassion or understanding, I felt judged and humiliated during an already difficult moment. That experience stayed with me long after the appointment ended. What frightened me even more was witnessing what appeared to be a serious lapse in attention and judgment during care. At one point, my younger puppy was nearly given an injection intended for my much older dog. That moment completely shattered my confidence and left me terrified about the level of care and oversight taking place. Watching someone we once respected so much change over time was painful. The professionalism, empathy, and stability we once valued no longer seemed to be there, and it ultimately destroyed our trust in the practice. Even with new ownership, I cannot honestly recommend this clinic based on what we experienced during those final years.

I came to Spruce Hill for one of my girls after being brushed off and mistreated at another vet office (unaffiliated) in Holyoke. From the receptionist to the techs and doctors in the back, everyone right from the start was incredibly helpful - which after my last experiences elsewhere was a breath of fresh air. Truly. They listed to me, answered all of my questions and made sure that my girl got the care that she needed without pushing unnecessary extras. We will definitely be back!
