When my cat Cairo passed, I was disappointed with how that was handled by the front office. I had to call in order to cancel an appointment I had made for him, but his situation turned worse before that appointment could happen. That call was painful for me, and while trying to thank Huron for all they did, I was hung up on mid-sentence by the receptionist who took the call. No email from the office after that offering any condolences, or anything. My cat was seen by multiple doctors here, and he was diagnosed with cancer here as well. Some feeling that he was remembered by the hospital he spent so much time going to and getting care at would have been nice. It also felt like I was never remembered no matter how many times I stepped in here to get medicine for him, or his appointments. "What's your name and your pet's name?" It felt bad every time for such a small, and local hospital. The actual care he got here was great, and the doctors were knowledgeable and led me down the correct path for him. I won't fault any of that. Probably the most unfortunate thing was that the first doctor he saw ended up going on a leave of absence, so then he had to see multiple doctors after that, and it just never felt the same as if he had had the same doctor that remembered and knew who he was, and what he was going through. Every time was looking through his file "What's going on with Cairo..." Well, let me tell you again...and again.

My cat had six teeth excised. Was sent home with medication and excellent information for recovery care. Three days later and the cat is eating and behaving like a cuddly kitten. I am beyond satisfied and so is my cat. Highly recommend.

I happened upon this Vet through chance, thankfully. All the staff is kind, courteous and good people, always. From seeing them on simple check ups, to managing my dog's health while he was questionably ill, they have made the experiences comfortable for both me and my dog. They never hesitated with my muzzled pitbull and he had grown to be quite comfortable with them and good in muzzleless now. He's only wears it when drawing blood and such. I highly recommend Hurin Veterinary Clinic if you can get on their case load!
