I have gone to this practice since 1975 and cannot say enough about how caring and professional all the NVVH staff are! Dr. Craig Smith is always focused on the best course of action for each individual animal. I now have 4 terriers. One of my Scotties had a terrible time with skin issues and Dr. Smith worked with me to get to a successful resolution. He listens and is open to trying new things. This practice remains an independent entity, which helps keep the costs down and the quality of care high.

I contacted the Nashoba Valley Vet Office via phone on Thursday, August 7th, to request updated vaccine records and a medication renewal for my pet. Unfortunately, I was met with an unprofessional and condescending tone from Helen at the front desk. From the outset, my reasonable request was met with unnecessary resistance, and instead of offering assistance, Helen escalated the situation with dismissive and unhelpful communication. After nearly 10 minutes of back-and-forth where I repeatedly had to ask for basic information, Helen finally, and begrudgingly, provided minimal details and scheduled an appointment. This experience was not an isolated incident; I’ve encountered similar behavior from the staff in the past. Customer service is an essential part of veterinary care, and pet owners should be treated with respect and understanding. I hope the office takes steps to improve the quality and professionalism of their front desk interactions. Do better.
